Review: Jack Harlow in Seattle

OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, Kentucky’s very own Jack Harlow has become Gen Z’s latest popstar crush. Gaining popularity from his 2018 album, Loose, Harlow’s 2021 self is an incredibly famous, revered and ever-growing hip-hop artist.

Opening for Harlow were Mavi and Babyface Ray, who easily got the already-hyped-up crowd even more excited for the concert to come. Jack’s fans were a rowdy bunch, ready to dance and sing to some of the artist’s biggest songs, from his original hitWhat’s Poppin” to his latest feature on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby.”

Harlow ran onto the stage to perhaps one of his most popular songs, “Tyler Herro”, and was met with a warm welcome from the crowd. Harlow’s comedic, light hearted personality was charming as ever as he chatted with the crowd, explaining how grateful he was to be there and how it may be one of the last times he performs in a venue as small as the ShowBox.

Harlow performed a high energy show with great flow and clearly fed off the excitement of the crowd. From “Already Best Friends” to “Love is Dro”, Harlow absolutely killed it and had the entire audience singing and dancing right along with him
