“I FEEL LIKE I DON’T HAVE TO MEET ANY EXPECTATIONS; I CAN TRULY INTRODUCE MYSELF TO THE WORLD.” – Breaking into the music scene with raw and unique artistry, Isaiah Stone has officially debuted his career with his debut single “No One Cares”. The release of this single is more than just an introduction to this artist but is a declaration of authenticity.

The Luna Collective had the opportunity to chat with Isaiah Stone about his inspirations, self-discovery, musical influences, and more!

LUNA: Congratulations on your debut single, "No One Cares"! How does it feel to officially launch your music career?

STONE: “I'm excited because the start of something new is always my favorite part, especially when creating music. I don't have to meet any expectations; I can truly introduce myself to the world. It's liberating and exhilarating to carve out my space for the audience. Throughout my life, I've experienced many different artistic identities, but I have finally found one that genuinely represents who I am, which is just Isaiah, it’s me.

LUNA: The story behind this track is incredibly personal. What inspired you to write the track, and what does it mean to you?

STONE: I don’t write consciously; whenever I try to do so, the songs never turn out well. I believe that overthinking can stifle creativity. The less I think, the better my work tends to be. My songs often reflect my emotional state at the moment. This particular song is about a sense of longing for something more and the feeling of being lost. It aligns with the theme of my first single, “No One Cares.”

LUNA: I love how music just comes to you and reflects on your emotional being. The lyrics of “No One Cares” explore themes of growing up and finding your path. What message do you hope listeners take from the song?

STONE: The fact that listeners engage with any message means a lot to me. I truly believe the song conveys that you are not alone; we all face struggles, and even when you make mistakes, it often feels like no one cares. We all go through tough times. People tend to be too focused on their own lives to pay much attention when someone messes up. So, while it may seem like the world is watching, the truth is that most people don't care.”

LUNA: Why did you choose this song as your debut single, and how does it represent you as an artist?

STONE: At that time, it was the only completed song I had. To be honest, a particular feeling inspired this song, and everyone around me encouraged me to go with it. Several factors aligned that led me to choose this song as my debut single. I truly believe this song is the best way to kick off my career, as it showcases my vulnerability. I wanted to discuss a certain topic that goes beyond just a typical love song that most songwriters produce; I aimed to make something unique.”

LUNA: I agree with what everyone was saying about this song, it truly showcases your emotions and shows how unique you are as an artist. Can you walk us through the creative writing process and produce “No One Cares”?

STONE: I was playing around on my guitar when two chords came to me. From there, I developed the melody, which is how many of my songs begin. The story of the song unfolded from vivid images in my mind of busy streets and GPSs.

LUNA: Can you describe the journey of recording “No One Cares” and bringing it to life in the studio?

STONE: I started with two chords, then the melody followed, and after that, I wrote the lyrics. Once I had the narrative clear in my mind, I understood where I wanted the song to go. When you have the foundations of a song established, it becomes a matter of craftsmanship and execution.”

LUNA: That’s so interesting that the melody came to you first, I love it. What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself since starting your music career?

STONE: I learn a lot about myself through my music. I often find that when I write a song inspired by pure emotion, I later realize it reflects my own experiences. My songs effectively reveal things about me, and the process of creating them also instills a sense of discipline.”

LUNA: Are any specific non-musical influences—like films, books, or art—shaping your songwriting?

STONE: I'm not really into movies. I've read a few novels, but my inspirations come from real life. Sometimes, I'll be having a conversation or seeing someone walk down the street, and an idea for a song will suddenly come to me. I can’t exactly pinpoint where my ideas originate; I could attempt to explain them, but that wouldn’t feel genuine.

LUNA: Conversations with someone are truly very inspiring, but I love how genuine you are in your songs. What do you want your audience to learn about you through your music?

STONE: I hope the audience knows I care about what I’m doing. My genre and tone of voice may switch from song to song but you will always hear that same passion. Music isn’t about me getting the bag, I am a true student of my craft.

LUNA: How does it feel to have “no One Cares” as your introduction to the world, and what do you hope it says about you?

STONE. It feels really good to have my first two songs “No One Cares” and “Get Down” out in the world. Both songs are emotional and vulnerable and I couldn't think of a better way to start a relationship with my listeners.

LUNA: Those songs are an incredible and genuine introduction to you, looking beyond, what’s next for you creatively? Any dreams or projects you hope to pursue shortly?

STONE: Honestly, I just want to continue to create and put music out. I’m hoping to do more live shows. It’s my dream to sell out stadiums one day and have a headline show in my hometown. I want to leave a legacy and inspire people.
