BUZZING FANS LINE THE WALLS as you arrive at Baby’s All Right, waiting to catch a glimpse of Spill Tab on her very first headlining tour. Inside the cozy venue, you can feel the energy buzzing amongst the backdrop of their iconic bottle wall, lighting up the room.

Getting past the lovely door person, you immediately know it’s going to be a fun show. Early 2000s hits are blasting from the speakers as fans rush to be front and center. You overhear conversations surrounding zodiac signs and predictions of the setlist from eager attendees at the bar.

The sold-out show started with a bang. The opener, Boyish, came right out of the gate kicking and screaming. Lead singer, India was bombastic, jumping around and making the stage their own. While guitarist Claire hit dreamy indie chords with effortless flair. It was obvious that the two groups are having a blast on this tour as India guided the crowd to welcome Spill Tab with an all-encompassing “HI DADDY!”

Everyone was vibing from Boyish’s set and the spunky DJ mixing bangers while the band set up. Spill Tab finally made her way to the stage with inflatable animals in tow. What she claimed was their “set design” for the tour.

The minute the group took the stage they cast a spell on the audience. It’s one thing to put on a good show, it’s another to make it completely immersive. In years of attending live shows big and small, it’s hard to say if there’s ever been better audience interaction from a band. From sing-alongs to a live Q&A session between tracks, Spill Tab had a lot to say when it came to connecting with her audience.

From the beginning to the end, Spill Tab delivered an effortless flow. She touched some tracks with delicate vocals while others were dark and brooding like the French beauty “Sante”. While it was hard to predict if the lush layers of production would translate to a live setting, the band did an excellent job of bringing that recorded intensity to the stage.

Spill Tab continued to delight the audience with two brand new tracks peppered throughout the set. One featured her absolutely shredding on the guitar (just like her bass player Caleb said she would).

Fans were elated to hear their favorite ukulele bop “Cotton Candy” flow out of an unexpected indie dream pop cover of Usher’s “Yeah”.

To round out the high-energy performance, the crowd went nuts in a mini mosh pit to arguably one of the highlight songs of the night: “PISTOLWHIP”.

Overall, Spill Tab brought an irresistible energy to the room during her set. It felt as if you were welcomed into the band's rehearsal room. Sitting on the floor enjoying the banter and excitement of the group as they created together. The entire band continuously radiated joy while on stage. Making it obvious that there was nothing they would rather be doing than playing for their fans.
