Justice's return to San Francisco on May 21, 2025, marking the first of two sold-out nights at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, and I can only describe the show as a masterclass in live electronic performance. Touring in support of their fourth studio album, Hyperdrama, the French duo—Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay—delivered a set that seamlessly blended their signature electro-house sound with the album's newer disco-funk influences. The show opened with a perfect almost evil villain theme “Genesis,” setting the tone for a night that would traverse their expansive discography, including tracks like "Phantom Pt. II," "D.A.N.C.E.," and "Neverender,".

The visual production was a spectacle in itself. From top to bottom all crew and production creators involved did a phenomenal job transforming the stage into a dynamic canvas of light and shadow, utilizing a massive reflective screen and an array of LED panels to create an immersive environment that complemented the music's intensity. Making it a visual journey as much as an auditory one.

Justice's ability to reinvent their older material was evident throughout the night. Tracks like "D.A.N.C.E." were presented with fresh arrangements, showcasing the duo's commitment to evolving their sound while honoring their roots. In an era where electronic performances can sometimes feel detached, Justice's show stood out for its authenticity and immersive quality. Their meticulous attention to both sonic and visual elements created an atmosphere that was both exhilarating and memorable.

Shows like this are truly my favorite to cover as they are not just playing music but creating an environment, atmosphere, feeling, and experience that you’ll never forget and enjoy days, months, and even years after it’s ended.
