SOON TO BE INDIE-GRUNGE ROCK LEGENDS BEEN STELLAR visited Minneapolis’s 7th Street Entry this past week. The up-and-coming indie band played a stellar (pun intended) set to a packed house. Though not their first time in the Twin Cities, their appearance marked a special occasion as the five-piece is currently in the midst of their first-ever U.S. headline tour. Fans lined the walls, the stage, and everything in between to catch a glimpse of what I believe will be one of the best rock bands of our generation.
The setlist for the evening featured songs old and new, but particularly highlighted their recent debut album, Scream from New York, NY. The album features an incredible curation of gritty guitar tones and thrashing drums that combine to create cutting-edge rock music reminiscent of the 90’s. I was ecstatic when personal favorites of mine, “Pumpkin” and “Passing Judgement”, both made the cut for the setlist.
Been Stellar’s performance was nothing short of incredible, and they proved that though this is their first headline tour, it is certainly not their first rodeo. There are still many dates left on this coast-to-coast tour, and you won’t want to miss it.
