OKEY Dokey - “Wine Friends”

“Wine Friends”, the latest single from Nashville indie-pop band-turned-community, is a tune to remember. With gentle accompanying music and beautiful lyrics like “And tell me what's the end if there's nobody to share it with, nobody there to be scared of it with you?”, the song captivates the listener, making you feel warm and melancholy at the same time. The track, accompanied by equally stunning visuals, takes an upbeat approach to the usually dismal subject of death.

Okey Dokey's upcoming album Once Upon One Time, out October 23rd, includes “Wine Friends.” The record is a blend of new and old sounds, and explores anxiety, sobriety, breakups and self-love.

Tennis - “Superstar”

Tennis's newest cover of “Superstar” is one that takes you back in time. Calming and heartfelt, the song reminisces about a relationship, combining sweet vocals with an indie pop sound.

Speaking of their version, the duo says they wanted to cover the song for a long time, loving the lyrics and the way Karen Carpenter sang it. The bridge of their cover, they explain, was written from scratch because they wanted more.

Influenced by 50s pop melancholy and 70s soft rock, Tennis's music transcends time, expanding the boundaries of music every day.

Porches - “I Miss That”

Porches, the recording project of Aaron Maine, releases his new single, “I Miss That.” After his last album, Ricky Music, Maine’s sound has become significant, with “I Miss That,” showing the evolution of his sound in the best way possible. Incorporating his sweet vocals and a beat with so much emotion and then hitting the 2:00 mark, it’s like we teleported somewhere much deeper than we were supposed to. He made it possible to feel like you’re listening to three different songs but perfectly blended together so that they make the perfect song to let your imagination go crazy. It’s not “what if” you want to listen to this song, it’s a must.

VICTOR INTERNET - “Hollow”

VICTOR INTERNET has become a key artist to bedroom pop and indie-pop, and he has no intention of slowing down. Starting off his career by making music on an old computer and a borrowed mic, his sound has become unique to him. With sweet songs like “Tinder Song” and “Each Other,” his newest single “Hollow” touches more on a serious aspect of relationships. With his lyrics being relatable and the slowness but fast pace sound, he creates a scenario in your head and lets you experience it the way you want to. It’s a song you’ll be singing to in your room as you think about the person you put too much into. What would a VICTOR INTERNET song be if it wasn’t extremely relatable and specific?
