Dansu - “Say, Say, Say”

Amsterdam neo-pop group is starting off the new year hot with their latest track “Say Say Say”. Described as a “sweet break-up song”, the warm synths mix elegantly with inviting guitars. The sweet flow of the track is fueled by heartfelt vocals, telling a classic break up tale. Though light, the instrumentals create a powerful and fun melody that beg you to start grooving. Complete with a twin guitar solo towards the end of the track, “Say Say Say” gives the listener a really full three minutes to escape with.

Yaehsun - “Show Me How To Love”

“Show Me How To Love” immediately kicks off with a light-hearted flow and gentle vocals, a sweet combination for a start to the new year. The man behind Yahsun, Jason Haberman, showcases his talent with a multitude of instruments, bringing in a variety of guitar and percussion sounds. Yaehsun notes the track is about “The ups and downs, surfaces and layers of love, cannonballs, bellyflops, hurling, day to day, bursting love, tunnel vision, subway system. palpitating, ageless, love….” The Toronto based artist has had the pleasure of touring and collaborating with other artists, but this project serves as his start to sharing his own music.

 

Baseball Greg - “Never Bored” (feat. Jimmy Kraft and mnngg)

The wispy vocals of “Never Bored” instantly paint a dreamy & hazy vibe for their listener to daydream to. A Pop duo from California by way of Italy, Baseball Gregg’s unique history and creative process only shows their dedication to creating their smooth indie pop sound. The duo, Luca Lovisetto and Samuel Regan met in Italy, eventually forming Baseball Gregg. While the group produces their tracks together during summer, in an interesting turn of events they tour as Baseball Gregg with their own live bands respectively, both in Italy and the US. “Never Bored” brings in a plethora of elements, from the saxophone to guitars, all while keeping to a simple flow thanks to that whistle that is sure to get stuck in your head.

Flattery - “No Way Out” 

A track full of energy and that feeling of longing, “No Way Out” mixes upbeat, almost punk-like guitar with those hazy indie vocals we’ve all come to adore. “No Way Out” serves as a terrific introduction to Flattery by showcasing their authentic and crafted sound. Part of their debut 8 track album, Other Essences, “No Way Out” keeps the track flowing with a powerful production element. Anna Fuller, the artist behind Flattery, recorded and mixed the album in various bedroom studio setups over the past year before being sent of to an audio engineer for mastering.
