NOTHING KICKS THE SUMMER OFF LIKE GOVERNORS BALL - the annual music festival held at the Citi Field complex in New York always seems to shift us in the playful energy that the new season brings. This year’s festival returns with J. Cole, Halsey, Kid Cudi, Flume, Playboi Carti and many more. Gov Ball truly has something for all music fans - from rappers J. Cole and Jack Harlow to indie artists like Gus Dapperton and Still Woozy to electronic artists like Flume and Kaytranada, this year’s lineup will have you busy throughout the whole weekend. If the main festival activities aren’t enough for you, they’ve got you covered with an incredible After Dark lineup as well, including KAYTRANADA, Soccer Mommy, BENEE and Surf Curse.

Before diving into this year’s lineup and giving you a crash course on who to see, make sure you prep for everything beyond the music, including their delicious food and drink lineup for this year’s festival.

Fans can indulge and stay fueled all weekend long with a variety of options from Roberta’s Pizza, Big Mozz, and No Good Burger Joint to sweeter treats like Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Sweet Chick and milk & cream cereal bar. If you’re looking to score some free goodies, look no further than festival partners Dunkin’ and MorningStar Farms to treat you throughout the weekend. Make sure to bring your reusable water bottle to take advantage of the free water refill stations through the grounds, and indulge your taste buds with tasty beverages from Matcha Lemonade from MatchaBar, JuneShine Hard Kombucha, Summer Water Rosé, BACARDÍ cocktails and a long list of craft beers and hard sodas.

Friday

While you might be spending most your day preparing for headliner Kid Cudi, make sure to head to the festival early to catch our former cover stars Between Freinds at 12:20pm. Allow yourself the time to get familiar with the grounds, check our the vendors and get ready for the weekend ahead before heading to Paris Texas at 1:20pm. Rap fans can continue their day with JPEGMAFIA and Jack Harlow, while indie fans should make sure to check out Blu De Tiger, Beabadoobee and Samia. Fulfill your childhood dreams by catching Aly & AJ, and get the energy you’ve been craving with danceable sets from Channel Tres and Louis The Child.

Saturday

Saturday is an indie kid’s dream, packed with Almost Monday, Valley, Peach Tree Rascals, Benee, Gus Dapperton and Still Woozy. Make sure you take the opportunity check out Shaq (known as Diesal)’s DJ set and if you’re looking for that crazy energy to mosh to, stop by Denzel Curry’s set. Find a more chill yet just as fun vibe with Tove Lo, Joji and Flume before catching part of headliner Halsey’s set.

Sunday

The third day of a music festival sure can bring its challenges when it comes to your energy levels, but starting your day with Del Water Gap is sure to serve as the pick me up you need. The final day boasts a diverse line up, so if you’re looking to dance make sure to catch Duckwrth and Kaytranada, and if you’re looking to get a little emotional stop by Soccer Mommy and Japanese Breakfast. Indie heads better be catching Surf Curse, Clairo, COIN and Glass Animals as well, while rap fans can get their fix with J.I.D. before finishing the weekend with the legend himself, J.Cole.
