From The Road: BIZZY
EMBARKING ON HER INAUGURAL US TOUR - BIZZY has curated a tapestry of unforgettable moments that transcends the typical artist-fan dynamic. Onstage, BIZZY's evolution is palpable, especially during the performance of "I Don't Get Breakups," where a chorus of fans turns the live act into a collective, cathartic experience.
The tour has been a crucible for personal and professional growth, transforming the stage from a realm of contemplation to a seamless extension of herself. Amidst the quirks like the band's lighthearted "PSP" pre-show ritual, BIZZY's intentions for the year's end are clear: a period of rest and reflection, channeling the tour's whirlwind into new, heartfelt creations.
As the final chords resonate, BIZZY's debut tour stands not just as a musical journey but a transformative exploration of self and connection. Read below to learn more about the tour and how BIZZY will finish up the year.
LUNA: Happy fall! How has this season been treating you?
BIZZY: Eep thank you! It has been so amazing! I love fall, and all the nostalgia that comes along with it.
LUNA: Congrats on wrapping up your debut US tour. Can you share a favorite story from this tour?
BIZZY: Oh my gosh, thank you! It has literally been such a DREAM! My favorite story from the tour…hmm… it’s so tough to choose one, but I think my favorite story is from the Atlanta, GA date. A fan came up to me after the show, she was literally shaking, and told me the sweetest story about how my music has helped her. Then, she asked me to draw something on a sticky note so she could get it tattooed! LIKE WHATTTTT! I was so nervous I drew 4 different things because I was stressed about how it was gonna be on her body forever lol.
LUNA: What was your favorite city to explore?
BIZZY: My favorite city was Seattle, WA! I honestly didn’t know what to expect when we drove in, but I was in such awe of its beauty. It’s got everything, water, mountains, and city. I just LOVED it.
LUNA: What’s been your favorite track to play lately?
BIZZY: I think my favorite one to play live is “I Don’t Get Breakups” because the fans have started a call and response in the chorus where I go “oh I” and then they all scream “WHAT”! And it just feels so cathartic, like we’re in it together.
LUNA: How have you seen your live performance evolve overtime?
BIZZY: This has probably been the coolest thing to happen during tour for me. I feel like I have grown SO much over the last month and a half. I feel so much more at ease on stage, and instead of having to think up there, it just feels so glued and natural, which has allowed me to be more present.
LUNA: Have you developed any pre-show rituals?
BIZZY: Hahaha this is so TMI, but me and my band call it “PSP” - pre show poop LOL. We all have to go literally right before we go on stage. So there’s the inside scoop that you didn’t want :)
LUNA: What intentions do you have for the rest of the year?
BIZZY: Resting and writing! I’m excited to process all that the tour has brought, and I’m also excited to finally get to rest and come down from the high of this experience.
